Our funeral business was first established back in 1880 by the Whelan family of Main Street, Stradbally, Co. Laois and has been serving the parishes of Stradbally, Portarlington and surrounding areas ever since in a dignified, sensitive and professional manner. Vincent Whelan married Mary (Babs) Whelehan in 1951. After Vincent's death, Mary his wife continued the Funeral business for over 60 years until 2012, when she handed it over to her nephew William Whelehan. Whom had trained and worked for her for almost 30 years. William is now assisted by his brother Jim and his son Liam.
